With my Bronze plan last year, BCBS would not pay for the initial office consultation nor the prescription for the bowel prep for a colonoscopy. My out of pocket cost was around $160. My colonoscopy was covered as a preventive procedure. BCBS says certain preventive services are covered at 100% but a preventive colonoscopy is not one of those procedure.
