How does a dependent sign up for a BAM account?

I am a dependent, and my spouse is the subscriber.

The sign up procedure from BAM (Blue Access for Members) asks for my details, including member ID. I, the dependent, do not have my own member, but when I give my spouse's, I am told that my personal information doesn't match what is on record for that ID. That seems like a reasonable thing for the system to tell me, but it doesn't help me create my own BAM account.

How does a dependent sign up for a BAM account? When I try, using the primary's member ID I am (correctly) told that my information doesn't match hers. But I do not have separate ID (that I know of).

For over a year about 30,000 of my Well on Target points have not been available for me to use. Anyone know why?

Hi all,

I’m trying to understand how Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas handles coverage when care is provided out-of-state.

If I’m a Texas-based member but temporarily living or working in another state (for example for a 6–12 month relocation or remote work arrangement), how does coverage typically work in practice for:

routine primary care visits
specialist appointments
urgent care vs emergency care

Do I need to rely strictly on the BlueCard network, or are there situations where out-of-state providers are treated as out-of-network even within the BCBS system?

Why is BCBS denying authorizations from Carelon for rental/purchase?

I am in charge of Authorizations for my facility and have recently had an influx of denials for Authorizations being absent. When I call BCBS to inquire about this denial reason, after waiting almost an hour and most likely getting hung up on before I even get to speak with someone, they inform me the denial reason is because the Carelon authorization is for a rental and not a purchase. I've spoken with Carelon myself to ask if there is a difference between an Authorization for rental and/or purchase and they never know what I'm even referring to and the date range is based on the member's compliance for the first 90 days. I feel it is unfair to these Patient's who pay hundreds of dollars each year for premiums and I'm fighting tooth and nail over the phone to get these adjusted but have to call 3 or 4 times before I get a an Agent who will sent it back for adjustment.

Is this a normal occurrence for any other facilities?
