By 2018, Texas will need more than 715,000 people to fill jobs in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) industries. While that presents increasing opportunities for diversity in the workplace, less than 30 percent of women have held similar positions in the past. That’s why we invited the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas to visit our headquarters and meet some of our own professional women in related positions.
