Even though Thanksgiving is over, we’re not done giving thanks. In fact, we have an employee campaign happening that’s more than three months long! On September 9, our president, Bert Marshall, kicked it off at our Richardson Headquarters with “Standing Together Week” (shown in our video above). toSince then and through December 19, our team will be giving thanks by pledging donations to the Caring for Children Foundation’s Care Van Program, Community Health Charities, United Way and the Blue Bear Employee Relief Fund – an initiative for colleagues to support one another during times of hardship.
Although this campaign is only 3 months, our employees pledge to stand together all year to make a difference in our Texas communities by making automatic donations from their paychecks. Here’s how that breaks down:
$1 per pay period can help a student participate in a college and career readiness program
$3 per pay period can immunize several uninsured/underinsured children through the Care Van program
$5 per pay period can provide resources through the Blue Bear Employee Relief Fund to help a fellow employee experiencing financial hardship.
$10 per pay period can allow a diabetic child to attend a specialized camp for two weeks
We’re proud of our team for their commitment to community. But enough about us! Do you make charitable giving part of your life? Tell us how below.
