My wife is pregnant with baby due January 25, 2020 and we are switching from one BCBS of Texas product (employer-provided) to another BCBS product (privately purchased during open enrollment ending Dec. 15, 2019) effective January 1, 2020; how will maternity coverage be applied when bulk of prenatal visits will have occured in 2019 and the labor and delivery in 2020?

I find a job at University of Texas at Dallas and I will start my work next month. My find is pregnant now. She is pregnant for 5 months. I am just wondering that BlueCross Blue Shield covers pre-existing pregnancy or not?
