I Didn’t Realize How Much My Pet Helped My Anxiety Until Recently

Hey everyone,
I wanted to share something I’ve been thinking about lately. I’ve had my pet for a while now, and I always enjoyed the companionship, but recently I started noticing something deeper.

Whenever I feel anxious or overwhelmed, my pet seems to naturally come closer, sit beside me, or just stay near without being called. It’s like they sense something is off. I didn’t train them to do this, it just happens.

Now I’m wondering if this is what people mean when they talk about emotional support animals. I haven’t gotten an official ESA letter yet, but I’m starting to think it might actually be worth looking into.

Has anyone else had a similar experience before getting their ESA officially recognized? Did that moment change how you viewed your pet?
