Which glucose testing meters and strips

I am trying to refill a prescription for glucose testing strips. my pharmacist says it needs approval. my doctor says BCBS doesn't cover my current one and I need another kind but need to know what to submit a prescription for. what glucose and meters are covered under my plan?
