Ftm top surgery question

I am a trans male who's fiance is a member under his job. I am not covered yet but we are planning on getting married soon. I was hoping if i gave his member info to an employee if i could see if I would be covered for top surgery or would we have to wait until we are married or have him ask directly to get that info?
