Relocated to a new city and need to change my PCP

I just moved to another city and have made an appointment to see a local Doctor.  Do I need to change my PCP to this doctor with BCBS before my first visit?  Or is that something I can do after my first visit with this doctor?

  • Hello, If you are covered under an HMO plan you will need to change your PCP to this doctor before you see them in order for your visit to be eligible for coverage. You can change your PCP on your Blue Access for Members account or by calling customer service at the number on your ID card. ~ Kayla
