Not paying for NEEDED Prescriptions

I have a question about two of my daughter's prescriptions. One is the Atomoxetine for her ADHD that you will not pay so I have to pay $260.97 and now the birth control, Balcoltra that they put her on for her cramps and acne that they are wanting to charge me $408.00. Why doesn't my insurance pay either of these?
