Shingles shot

I am almost 59 years old. My doctor would like me to have a shingles shot but she doesn't know if it is covered if I am not 60. Is blood work more expensive at the hospital than at the doctor's office. She usually does it at her office but was unable to yesterday and wants me to go to the hospital. Also, how do I go about adding my wife to your company so that she may be able to communicate with you in case of my not being able to.
