NARRATOR: Have you recently been discharged from an emergency room or an inpatient hospital for a mental health or substance use concern? Taking that first step and asking for help is often the hardest, but the journey doesn't end there. Issues such as depression, anxiety and substance use or dependence do not go away or get better on their own. Professional treatment, including therapy and medication management, as well as connecting with supportive resources in your community, are shown to improve outcomes.

Additionally, continuing your care with an outpatient therapist or psychiatrist is shown to improve health as well as relationships with friends and family. Not sure where to go from here? Call to make a follow up appointment today to take the next step in your journey to wellness. If you need help identifying a provider or scheduling appointments, just call the number on the back of your member ID card and ask for a behavioral health case manager.
