How to Register

Blue Acces for Members

As a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas member don’t forget to sign up for your Blue Access for MembersSM account. Once you set up your account you will be able to see information about your coverage and reach out to a Customer Advocate with questions. Plus you will be able to:

  • Check claim status and history
  • Find a doctor or hospital in-network
  • Let us know how you want us to stay in touch. For example, you can choose to receive important updates by email or SMS Text messages
  • Review your billing and payment history
  • Read helpful tips and wellness articles

It won’t take more than a few minutes to register. You just need the following:

  • A valid email address to confirm your registration.
  • Your home zip code which must match the mailing address we have for you.
  • Your Member ID number which can be found on your ID card and your welcome letter.
  • Your group number found on your member ID card.

You can register on our website in just a few steps.

  • You’ll want to review the Terms of Use. If you agree to these terms you can check the box indicating you agree and then click Next.

  • On the Create an Account page you can select your User Name and Password as well as enter your email address and set a security question. Your email address and security question are here in case you ever forget your password.
  • On the Member Information screen you will need to enter your personal information and your group number and identification number. These numbers can be found on your ID card. Once you’ve completed this information you can click Next and move to the Email Confirmation page. You’ll receive an email confirming your new account and then you’ll be ready to sign in to Blue Access for Members.
